50,000th edition for Scottish daily
The Courier celebrates its 50,000th edition after nearly 200 years of publication.
The paper was first published in 1816 as the Dundee Weekly Courier and Forfarshire Agricultural and Commercial Advertiser. In 1861 it beame one of Britain's first weekly newspapers after nearly 50 years of being published weekly or bi-weekly.
Historian Norman Watson marks the 50,000th edition with a special feature telling readers of the publication's history.
