72Point hires head of digital and creative

72Point, the national PR and market research company, has appointed two editorial staff.

Daniel Drage and Alison (corr) Jackson joined the company in October to oversee its digital and creative output.

The pair, both trained news and broadcast journalists, will operate from the Bristol-based firm’s new flagship London office.

As head of digital service, Drage will optimise copy for the web and provide a ‘much-needed digital layer’ to PR and marketing campaigns.

The former press officer at Chelsea Football Club and at Sky Sports, also hopes to expand 72Point’s command of the burgeoning ‘journalism 2.0′ arena.

Jackson will lead the company’s existing creative team, and has a “clear brief” of maximising clients’ national press coverage.

The Kent University graduate, worked for both Sky News and Five News before joining the newsdesk at ITV’s This Morning.
