Absolute Radio signs Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy to host Elton John documentary

Absolute Radio has signed founder and presenter Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy from Classic Album Sundays, to host and produce a documentary on Elton John's seminal 1973 breakthrough "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on Sunday 23 March, 8-9pm.

The programme, made in partnership with Universal and featuring brand new interviews with Elton John and Bernie Taupin, will reveal the stories behind the making of the star’s most popular studio recording, as well as the broadcast of a rare and never-before broadcast 1973 Elton John live performance.

Absolute Radio Content Director Tony Moorey said, “This programme will offer an in-depth look at one of Britains most iconic and enduring artists. Colleen is a talented storyteller – this, combined with an exclusive, never broadcast before live material offers a unique collaboration between Classic Album Sundays, Absolute Radio and Universal Music.
