Absolute Radio wins Premiership rights

Absolute Radio has won the rights to broadcast Premier league matches on Saturday afternoons.

From August, the station will air 32 matches at 3pm on Saturday afternoons. Absolute have the second of three match choices, with either the BBC or TalkSport likely to take the other two.

The matches will be broadcast on the national AM frequency with the London network still broadcasting music at this time.
