Giles Hattersley, editor of Arena, is returning to The Sunday Times a year after he left the paper.

Hattersley, who was The Sunday Times’ youngest chief interviewer, was hired by Bauer’s Arena magazine last year for the relaunch in October.

Arena executive editor, Matt Smith, who has worked on the magazine for six years, will be in charge of the title until the appointment of a permanent editor.
