Ashton joins News of the World

Neil Ashton is leaving the Daily Mail to join the News of the World as chief football correspondent.

Before becoming the Daily Mail’s football news correspondent, Ashton spent four years as a football writer at The People.

In his new post he will cover England’s involvement in international football and major tournaments as well as domestic matches and events.
