Bauer Media has relaunched Teesside radio station TFM, with all programming originating from Metro Radio in Newcastle. The two stations will share all programming from today, but with split local news and commercials.

TFM's office in Stockton will close, with 22 staff relocating north to Metro Radio's base at Pilgrim Street in Newcastle.

Cath Ellington, regional managing director at Bauer, said “These changes mean TFM will be even better resourced whilst at the same time retain its local connections and appeal to listeners and advertisers. We are confident this move means it will benefit from even greater creativity, improved content and allow the station to further grow its audience share across the region."
