BBC appoints rural affairs editor
The BBC has appointed Dimitri Houtart as the rural affairs editor in Bristol.
Houtart succeeds Jeremy Hayes in the role and will start on 6 January. He will have responsibility for Farming Today, Farming Today This Week and On Your Farm. He will also run 'Costing The Earth', Radio 4’s environmental journalism series, Open Country, Ramblings and The Food & Farming Awards. He will also work with the Bristol Leadership team on other series.
