BBC Radio 4 launches Inside Science

BBC Radio 4 has introduced Inside Science to the station's half-hour weekly science strand.

The pre-recorded programme airs Thursdays at 16:30 and replaces Material World which has ended after 13 years.

Inside Science, presented in turn by Dr Adam Rutherford, Alice Roberts and Lucie Green, is an "in-depth guide to science and the way that it is changing our world". The programme will focus on breakthroughs in science, exploring news stories and examining implications of scientific discovery.
