Sue Owen has been named as the new editor of BBC Radio Merseyside.

Owen will replace Mick Ord, who is set to become editor of BBC Knowledge and Learning (Religion, Ethics and Topicality).

Owen has been at BBC Radio Stoke for the past decade and will start her role next month (April).
