Ben Webster becomes The Times media editor

By Staff

29th July 2011

The Times has appointed Ben Webster as its media editor.

Webster was previously environment editor at the publication, commencing the role in 2009. Before that, he was the Times’ transport correspondent for nine years, winning the transport journalist of the year award in 2004 and 2009 at the National Transport Awards.

Prior to Webster’s appointment there was no media editor at The Times. He will fill a gap left by media correspondent Patrick Foster who left the title earlier this year.
