Berkeley PR win Go Ape! and appoint account director

Following a successful national campaign spanning 2011, Berkeley PR (BPR) has won Go Ape! Tree Top Adventure’s regional PR contract which will run alongside the retained national account during 2012.

Reading-based agency, Berkeley PR impressed Go Ape with the team’s hard work, tenacity and creativity, plus some outstanding results on the national account and was first choice to take over from the incumbent regional agency. As the UK’s leading forest adventure company, with 28 giant outdoor sites nationwide, PR is an important part of its day-to-day communications strategy to increase national and regional awareness of its courses, while all the time increasing the number of ‘bums in harnesses’.

Will Blair, marketing manager at Go Ape says; “After some fantastic results last year, we made the decision to retain BPR as our national PR agency. We also decided to reassess our regional PR programme, and appointing BPR to handle this too was a fitting choice for us. Following an impressive 2011, we look forward to continuing to see the excellent results into 2012.”

BPR has also announced that it is expanding its team with the recruitment of Rhiannon Clarke from BSkyB as account director. After eight years experience of working in in-house roles for a number of media brands, Rhiannon joins BPR to work across various consumer, tech and B2B accounts.

After graduating with a degree in Media Arts, Rhiannon worked as a marketing and administration assistant at The Watermill Theatre, and then The Community Channel as PR officer for two and a half years. With a passion for PR, Rhiannon spent five years at national radio station Virgin Radio (rebranded to Absolute Radio in 2008), finally joining BSkyB’s consumer PR division in 2011.
