Blind charity appoints director of external affairs
Julian Dailly is to join the Kent-based Royal London Society for the Blind as its director of external affairs.
Dailly is giving up his consultancy career as strategic brand director at Interbrand, which he joined in 2005. He has also been a financial controller at Ford Motor Company and held positions as finance analyst and strategy manager for Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
He says, “Experience consistently confirmed numerous opportunities to make small, but highly effective changes that had a big impact. I’m hoping to bring this ethos to the Royal London, through collaboration and teamwork. I also aim to stimulate internal communication and build clarity around what the Royal London, as a brand is trying to achieve.”
Chief executive Tom Pey says, “Julian will play a vital role in our plans for the next decade – taking into account our strengths and weaknesses as an organisation and how best we can meet the increasing needs of those who have lost their sight in youth.”
