Bridlington Gazette and Herald to close

The Bridlington Gazette and Herald is set to close in February, with its last edition published on the first of the month.

The weekly freesheet will become part of its paid-for sister title, the Bridlington Free Press.

Both titles are owned by Yorkshire Regional Newspapers, a subsidiary of Johnston Press.
