Bristol Evening Post axes Saturday edition

Bristol Evening Post has announced it will no longer publish its Saturday edition and will also drop 'Evening' from its name, becoming The Post from 19 April. Plans for The Post include an extended Friday edition with a new weekend guide to be launched in due course.

Owners Northcliffe Media said this reflects its transition to a morning publication in June 2009.
