The Bury Times Group has appointed Carla Flynn as editor.

Flynn, who is currently digital development editor for Newsquest Cheshire
& Merseyside, will join the weekly newspaper group from 3 March.

She replaces Ian Savage, who became editor-in-chief at the Bolton News in January, and will be the group’s first female editor.

Flynn will oversee the editorial content of the Bury Times and sister titles
Radcliffe Times, Prestwich and Whitefield Guide and the Bury Journal.

The Bury Times group titles are published weekly by Newsquest Lancashire.

Newsquest title The Bolton News is published daily from Monday to Saturday and has a circulation of 30,776.
