The winners of the Business Travel Journalism Awards 2012 were announced during an awards dinner at the May Fair Hotel in London this month.

Journalists across consumer, meetings & events and business travel titles were celebrated for their quality media coverage of business travel and meetings & events topics.

Sophie Griffiths, deputy news editor at the Travel Trade Gazette, was awarded Business Travel Features Journalist of the Year – Interview, for her features on Virgin Atlantic chief executive Steve Ridgway and Iron Maiden front man and pilot Bruce Dickinson.

Tom Hall, senior reporter at Conference & Incentive Travel, scooped the award for Meetings & Events Journalist of the Year, whilst Anne Gorringe, journalist at Bath Business News and Bristol Business News, took home Best Newcomer to Business Travel Journalism.
