CaerphillyObserver.co.uk, a local news website, is launching a fortnightly tabloid newspaper.

The print edition of the South Wales website will be published next month as a full-colour, 16-page publication. Former Brighton Argus journalist Richard Gurner, who launched the CaerphillyObserver.co.uk in 2009, is making the move into newsprint thanks to a European Union-funded business grant from Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Covering the whole of Caerphilly County Borough, it will have a circulation of 10,000 copies and will be distributed in shops and newsagents.
