Capella’s brief is to generate buzz in advance of the event to drive sign ups and promote the success of the event on the day. The agency will be targeting social, regional and national media as well as local sports clubs.
The Sumo Run is an annual 5km charity fun run in which participants wear inflatable sumo suits. It is organised by Link Community Development, a charity that works with governments and communities to improve the quality of education for children in sub-Saharan Africa and the UK.
The event previously set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people running in sumo suits.
