Bauer Media has appointed Stuart Robinson as programme controller at Northern Ireland stations Cool FM and Downtown Radio.

Robinson had recently been acting programme controller and deputy programme controller for the stations which are based near Belfast. He can be found tweeting @stuartrobinson1.

Cool FM launched a refreshed breakfast show last week, fronted by the returning Pete Snodden who hosted the show from 2004 to 2012. Former breakfast presenter Gareth Stewart now hosts afternoons on the station while co-presenter Connor Phillips is moving to a Bauer station in England.

In other changes, breakfast news editor Holly Hamilton left last week and will be joining BBC Breakfast, based in Manchester. Hamilton tweets @HollyHNews.
