Eastern Eye has changed publisher and appointed a new editor.

The weekly Asian newspaper is now published by Asian Media & Marketing Group, who acquired the title when the former publisher, Ethnic Media Group, went into administration in January.

Sailesh Ram is the new editor, replacing Hamant Verma. The rest of the editorial team remains the same.

The newspaper covers British Asian news, sport, entertainment, business, lifestyle and community, South Asia politics, international affairs, business, sport and Bollywood.
