Changes at the Shropshire Star and Express & Star

The Express & Star and Shropshire Star will relaunch their Saturday editions on 20 April.

The revamped publications will be rebranded as the Weekend edition and will double their pagination from 40 pages to 80 pages. They will include a pull out supplement which will offer a full weekly TV guide, local entertainment and lifestyle coverage, new columnists plus several pages of puzzles.

Elizabeth Joyce, previously Staffordshire and Walsall news editor at the Express & Star & Star, has been appointed assistant weekend editor/writer at both titles. Emily Bridgewater will join as weekend editor on 22 April. Her contact details will be alerted in due course.
