From this week mid-week coverage of sports in The Guardian will move back to the main paper. The paper will maintain the sports supplements on Monday and Saturday.

As a result of these changes, the paper will no longer carry daily cards for horse racing on weekdays, instead having a ‘race of the day’.

The Saturday section will still carry cards for the weekend’s televised races and for major meetings, such as the Cheltenham Festival, Royal Ascot, Aintree’s Grand National meeting and others, they will continue to print cards in full.
