Charlton named editor of Yorkshire dailies

Peter Charlton has been appointed to the combined editorship of the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post.

From 7 May 2012 he will take on the role of editorial director for Yorkshire Post Newspapers, assuming responsibility for both Yorkshire dailies.

Former Yorkshire Evening Post editor Paul Napier will take on the newly-created role of group editorial development director, with responsibility for accelerating the company’s ‘digital first’ strategy.
