Commercial Radio changes at Bauer Media

Bauer Media will be making changes to its commercial radio portfolio from January 2015. Magic will become a national service on DAB Digital Radio from next year, expanding from its current London audience. KISS will launch KISSTORY and KISS FRESH on DAB across UK cities including London and Birmingham. Bauer's local radio offering will be extended to two additional stations in each city. A number of stations will be rebranded or replaced with others. Liverpool: Radio City 96.7 becomes Radio City, Magic 1548 becomes Radio City 2, The Hits Radio becomes Radio City 3

Manchester: Key 103 remains as Key 103, Magic 1152 becomes Key 2, The Hits Radio becomes Key 3

Preston: 97.4 Rock FM becomes Rock FM, Magic 999 becomes Rock 2, The Hits Radio becomes Rock 3

Sheffield: Hallam FM remains as Hallam FM, Magic AM becomes Hallam 2, The Hits Radio becomes Hallam 3

Leeds: 96.3 Radio Aire becomes Radio AireMagic 828 becomes Radio Aire 2, The Hits Radio becomes Radio Aire 3

Hull: 96.9 Viking FM becomes Viking FMMagic 1161 becomes Viking 2, The Hits Radio becomes Viking 3

Middlesbrough: TFM remains as TFM, Magic 1170 becomes TFM 2, The Hits Radio becomes TFM 3

Newcastle: Metro Radio remains as Metro Radio, Magic 1152 becomes Metro Radio 2, The Hits Radio becomes Metro Radio 3

Carlisle: CFM remains as CFM, and there will be no additional services

Glasgow: Clyde 1 remains as Clyde 1, Clyde 2 remains as Clyde 2, The Hits Radio becomes Clyde 3

Edinburgh: Forth One remains as Forth One, Forth 2 remains as Forth 2, The Hits Radio becomes Forth 3

Dundee: Tay FM remains as Tay FM, Tay AM becomes Tay 2, The Hits Radio becomes Tay 3

Aberdeen: NorthSound 1 becomes Northsound 1NorthSound 2 becomes Northsound 2

Inverness: MFR remains as MFR, MFR 2 remains as MFR 2, The Hits Radio becomes MFR 3

Ayr: 96.7 West FM becomes West FMWest Sound becomes Westsound

Borders: Radio Borders stays the same

Dumfries: West Sound FM stays the same (already part of ‘Greatest Hits’ network)

All changes will come into effect from January next year.
