Daily Mail appoints online sports editor

The Daily Mail has appointed Mark Alford as online sports editor.

Alford, who was previously deputy sports editor at MailOnline, now manages the sport pages, providing engaging sports coverage, with a strong focus on football.

Alford’s appointment was officially announced at the start of this month and a replacement deputy is yet to be announced.
