Scotland on Sunday editor, Les Snowdon, is leaving the paper to join the Daily Mail as sports editor.

Prior to joining Scotland on Sunday he had also worked in London as the deputy sports editor of the Sunday Times.

Snowdon will replace former sports editor Lee Clayton, who was appointed head of sport at the Daily Mail after the Sunday Telegraph recruited Tim Jotischky as its new deputy editor.
