Daily Mail deputy city editor on maternity leave

Lucy Farndon, deputy city editor, is currently on maternity leave.

There will not be a replacement, her responsibilities will be distributed.

Simon Duke will be covering the banking sector, Sam Fleming will cover comment and Ian Lyall will take on her editorial role.

Farndon is expected to return in April next year.
