Daily Mail hires Samuel from the Times
The Times chief football correspondent Martin Samuel has been hired by the Daily Mail.
Samuel has been a sports writer and columnist for the Times since 2002. Prior to this, he was a football writer and general columnist at the Express.
The move follows Daily Mail chief sports writer Paul Hayward’s decision to join Guardian News and Media, as a senior sports writer to work across the Guardian, the Observer and guardian.co.uk.
