Daily Mail MD takes on expanded role

Guy Zitter, managing director of the Daily Mail, has been given an expanded role to include overseeing the Mail on Sunday and Mail Digital.

Zitter will take on the new role of managing director of Mail Newspapers.

His expanded role will include control of the Mail on Sunday, Mail Digital, Daily Mail in Ireland and Mail Today in India.

Stephen Miron, managing director of Mail on Sunday, was appointed chief executive of Global Radio two months ago and will leave the company on 30 November.

A managing director for the Mail on Sunday and a deputy managing director of Mail Newspapers, who will report to Zitter, are currently being sought.
