Daily Mail political editor joins the Telegraph

The Daily Mail’s political editor, Benedict Brogan, has been appointed assistant editor and chief political commentator at the Daily Telegraph.

He will also be writing a weekly column and blog on Westminster stories.

Prior to joining the Daily Mail in 2004 Brogan worked at the Daily Telegraph for four years.

For the moment, no leaving date has been confirmed and a replacement has not yet been announced.
