John Paul Rathbone, previously a correspondent at BreakingViews.com, has joined the Financial Times as deputy editor of the Lex column.

He will be working with Jo Johnson who became editor of the Lex column in June.

Rathbone told FeaturesExec that “Beats are still being worked out but it looks as though I will be writing on utilities, EU insurers, southern Europe (and its banks), eurozone macro, and transport.”
