Dominic Dawes to leave What Hi-Fi?

Dominic Dawes, brand editor at Haymarket’s What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision, is to leave the title to pursue a career in PR.

He joined What Hi-Fi? as deputy editor in 2008, and was promoted to editor a year later. Whilst at the magazine he oversaw a major redesign, was part of the launch team of whathifi.com, and played a central role in spearheading the brand’s multimedia and video strategies.

Prior to his employment at Haymarket Media Group, Dominic was a successful freelance technology journalist, contributing to a wide range of titles including Stuff, Gramophone, Guitarist, Home Entertainment, High Life, and Hi-Fi Choice.

Dawes is set to join PR agency Andy Giles Associates on 1 August.
