Dominic Lawson, former editor of the Sunday Telegraph, is to write a column in the Sunday Times from next month.

Lawson, who edited the Telegraph’s Sunday paper from 1995 to 2005, will take over from Simon Jenkins who is to chair the National Trust. As a result, Lawson will reduce the amount of inches he writes for The Independent each week.
