Dominic Mohan, the editor of the Sun, will also be editor of the Sun on Sunday.

News International has confirmed that the title will become part of a seven-day operation leading to some streamlining of production and editorial roles.

Victoria Newton, the former deputy editor of the News of the World, is expected to take on a senior role on the Sunday edition and the former political editor David Wooding is to take on the same role at the Sun on Sunday.
