Driffield Times and Driffield Post, two East Yorkshire weeklies, are to merge.

In an article printed in both newspapers and posted online, editor Nick Procter said: “The new newspaper will have even more coverage of local news and sport as well as bringing the motors and property sections together in one edition.”

The Driffield Times & Post will launch in September.
