The BBC has appointed Adam Bullimore as editor at BBC Breakfast.

Bullimore has been deputy editor at BBC Breakfast for five years and was previously an assistant editor at the BBC News channel.

Mary Hockaday, head of the BBC Multimedia Newsroom, said: “Adam wants BBC Breakfast to be a smart BBC News start to the day blended with engaging guests, audience stories and a real feel for what’s happening around the UK, and I know he and the team will deliver the perfect morning mix.”
