Mearns Leader has appointed Charles Wallace as editor, following the retirement of John McIntosh last week. Wallace also remains editor of another Angus County Press title, the Kincardineshire Observer.

Charles Wallace has been editor of the Montrose Review for the past two and a half years.

Mearns Leader is owned by Angus County Press, a regional division of Johnston Press.
