NME has appointed Krissi Murison as editor. She will take up her position at the music magazine on 1 September.

Murison had worked at NME for six years previously before leaving in February this year to join Nylon in New York, where she worked as music director.

She replaces the previous editor Conor McNicholas, who will be joining Top Gear later in the year.
