Radio Times editor Gill Hudson will leave the magazine on 10 July to join Reader’s Digest as editor in chief.

Ben Preston will take over as editor at Radio Times from 1 September, leaving his current executive editor position at The Independent during the summer.

Hudson had worked as editor at the BBC Worldwide magazine for seven years.
