Checkout Publications has hired John Ruddy as editor of Checkout magazine and the Retail Intelligence bulletin.

Ruddy has worked in financial PR and was previously at Checkout Publications from 2003 to 2006. He replaces Karina Corbett who has gone onto work as managing editor at Diarmuid Gavin’s Garden Designs magazine.

Meanwhile, Shauna Rahman has been promoted from staff journalist to deputy editor for both the above publications.

Checkout Publications publishes Checkout magazine and the Retail Intelligence bulletin.
