The Berwick Advertiser has appointed Stuart Laundy as editor.

He will be taking over the editorial position on the weekly Tweeddale Press newspaper from Janet Male (nee Wakenshaw), who left at the end of May.

Janet Male had worked on the newspaper for the past 37 years, spending 13 in an editorial capacity.

Stuart Laundy has been working as the deputy editor of the Teesdale Mercury.
