Editor leaves Johnston Press after 20 years

Johnston Press editor Nick Proctor has left his position after 20 years.

The weekly editor of the Bridlington Free Press, Driffield Times & Post, Pocklington Post and Beverley Guardian leaves to begin his role as communications manager at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Starting as a trainee reporter with the Scarborough Evening News, Proctor worked his way to editor of the Bridlington Free Press nine years ago.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Proctor will be replaced as editor of these titles.
