Orkney Today will be looking for an editor in the new year.

John Ross Scott, who has been the editor of the weekly newspaper since founding it in 2003, will be leaving to pursue a role as chairman of NHS Orkney after getting “a real buzz from being a councillor”.

Until a replacement editor is appointed the post will be covered by chief reporter Robert Leslie.
