Essential Communications appoints business director

Essential Communications, the Newbury based technology marketing and PR agency has appointed Tom Charles as business director.

Charles joins the agency in a new role and will be responsible for driving new business and heading up account management. Charles will also work closely with managing director, Sam Rudland, to oversee the day to day running of the agency.

“Tom has extensive agency understanding combined with B2B and B2C technology sector experience and I am delighted he was able to join us,” said Sam Rudland, Essential Communications’ Managing Director. “We have some exciting plans for the agency and I am confident that Tom will help me successfully take us to the next level.”

Charles previously held director level positions at London based agencies TBCH and Haygarth where he worked on B2B clients including 3 Mobile, Nokia and Verizon. In addition to B2B clients, Charles also headed up the Nokia B2C eCRM programme.

Formed in 2002, Essential Communications works with clients across the technology sector and within the IT channel. Its clients include Avnet Technology Solutions, O2, Psion, Jade, Blackbay and Codegate.
