Haymarket has hired Nic McCarthy as editor of eve magazine.

McCarthy replaces Sara Cremer and will join the magazine in January 2008.

Prior to her appointment, McCarthy was editor of OK! magazine before she moved to America in 2004. She returned to the UK in 2006 where she took up a role with Emap

McCarthy said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be the new editor of eve. As a longtime fan of the magazine, I have always admired its truly original style and content.”

Sara Cremer has left eve to take up the role of editorial director at Redwood Publishing. Cremer replaces Juliette Warkentin at Redwood, who left to join Emap’s Worth Global Style Network.
