The Sun on Sunday's Fabulous has appointed Sinead McIntyre as editor.

McIntyre replaces Rachel Richardson who is leaving after 12 years working for News UK.

McIntyre has been acting editor of the title for the last 20 months.

Richardson joined News International (now News UK) in 2002 as a reporter in the Scottish office of the News of the World and went on to various roles including TV editor and digital editor. She became editor of Fabulous in 2011, and for the last 20 months has worked on special projects for The Sun.

In her time at Fabulous she was twice awarded Editor of the Year by the BSME and during her secondment she set up the social team, revamped Page 3 and launched the award-winning Check 'em Tuesday campaign.

McIntyre joined Fabulous two months after the launch in February 2008. Before that, she spent six years as a journalist at The Daily Mail.
