The Feminist Times confirmed its closure on its website yesterday (14 July).

Originally crowdfunded and launched last year, the website aimed to provide a "pluralist platform" for feminist content.

The editorial team, including editor-in-chief Charlotte Raven and editor Deborah Coughlin, said of the decision: "We simply cannot survive any longer without having to change our values. Other projects like ours allow themselves to be co-opted by a big brand or not pay contributors. We would not be happy to do either".
