North Yorkshire weekly newspaper, the Filey and Hunmanby Mercury, is to become part of sister title the Scarborough Evening News.

Eight pages of Filey news will now appear as a pullout in the Evening News’ Saturday edition.

Editorial contacts and the name of the newspaper remain the same. Both titles are owned by Yorkshire Regional Newspapers.
