Financial Times fashion editor to leave

Financial Times fashion editor Vanessa Friedman is leaving to join The New York Times in April.

Friedman will replace Cathy Horyn at The New York Times and Suzy Menkes at The International New York Times as fashion director and chief fashion critic.

Menkes is joining Condé Nast as a reporter and critic on the publisher's portfolio of international Vogue websites.

Friedman has worked at the FT since 2002 and can be found tweeting @VVFriedman. Her successor has not yet been named.
